I ended up watching the last thirty minutes of the film and then rewatching the first hour the following morning. I can only name two horse movies off the top of my head that contain eventing — Sylvester and International Velvet — so automatically I was a little excited, but the thing that really struck me about this story was that the horse and rider, though new to each other, were both well trained via backstory.

Top review. Great family movie. I won't go into the storyline, as many have already done so. This is a great movie for preteens and younger teens.
Flicka 2 is based on Flicka 1. Katy which was the lead character in flicka one went to vet school so she gave flicka to her uncle to take care of her for a while until she got back from vet school. Katy's cousin carrie is the main character in flicka 2. She is the girl who ends up falling in love with flicka also.
